A NOTE ON MONEY—AND COPYING
I believe that an artist should derive some monetary value from those who enjoy the art. Especially in our, mostly, materialist age. However, not all writing is art—or is even intended to be art. Novels may be art, but research papers are something different. Opinion, too, is not art, although it is capable of being packaged and presented artfully. This blog is primarily an opinion blog.
As an opinion blog, the spread of knowledge is our main intent—not the pecuniary rewards of the process. Therefore, we encourage you to share and spread the contents of this blog through social media, re-blogging, copypasting and other shenanigans.
To be clear, I’m giving you permission to:
Share — copy and redistribute the contents in any medium or format
Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the original content
As long as you follow these points:
Attribution — You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to this blog, and indicate if changes were made. You may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests that I endorse you or your use.
NonCommercial — You should not use the content of the blog for commercial purposes unless you discuss with me first. Sorry.
No additional restrictions — You should not apply legal terms or technological measures that legally restrict other people from doing anything with the material that I have already permitted you to do.
For a clearer understanding of these permissions, check here. If you have to use the contents in any way beyond these, then contact me first.
Business and Work: If you want to: distribute or purchase my books; use or republish my content on commercial websites; engage me to write (freely or paid) for your website; or otherwise reach me for interviews, opinions, events and other media appearances, please send an email to email@example.com and copy firstname.lastname@example.org.
Informal: For personal interactions, “mentoring”, praise, insults or evangelism, please leave a comment on the blog or interact with me through twitter (either by mentioning me or sending a direct message) via @ayosogunro. If you don’t do twitter and all that jazz, you can also send an email to email@example.com—but, I cannot guarantee that I will respond to any such email in a hurry.
